Mark Your Calendar: lunch-hour intellectualism with “De/Formed Revival”

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Ever thought of going to see a dance show on your lunch break? The Dance Centre’s giving you the chance with its Discover Dance! series.

These curated shows feature up-and-coming dancers and choreographers, with all performances taking place at 12pm and lasting about 60 minutes (including an artist talkback).

February’s edition, taking place on the 29, features De/Formed Revival from Vancouver-based company Viorelia Dance Hub. Inspired by heady topics like literature, philosophy, and psychology, the company’s latest work takes cues from Renaissance art. Featuring three dancers, De/Formed Revival brings sculptures to life through the human form, begging questions of conformity, history, and the importance of transformation.

It certainly sounds better than eating a sad salad at your desk.
