Every Tuesday night starting February 13, Music on Main will take over the Fox Cabaret for a month of unique, intimate concerts welcoming classical musicians and acts.

Under the guidance of founder and artistic director David Pay, Music on Main is now in its 18th season. In its near-two-decade run, the organization has put on more than 700 concerts and events, bringing more than 1,800 musicians to the stage in fresh takes on classical music.

Kicking off the limited A Month of Tuesdays series is pianist and composer Timo Andres; he will perform some well known piano classics, plus one of his own compositions, on February 13.

Soprano Sarah Jo Kirsch and pianist Madeline Hildebrand take the stage on February 20, covering composers such as Kate Soper and Matthew Ricketts.

Then, on February 27, former Vancouver Symphony Orchestra cellist Ariel Barnes will showcase Bach and Britten.

Closing out the series on March 5 is the award-winning Dior String Quartet, exploring both classical and contemporary pieces.

As Music on Main suggests, this series is the perfect excuse to escape your to-do list for an hour or two. And really, what else are you doing on a deary Tuesday night?
